Avoiding fast food can help you prevent tummy troubles.
You can prevent tummy troubles, including bloating, heartburn and reflux, by practicing these simple eating strategies:

Slow down: Eat slowly and chew food thoroughly; this decreases the likelihood of heartburn.

Forget fatty foods: Fried, sautéed, or foods stewed in fats are the top digestive problem triggers; eliminate them from your diet and you may even drop a few pounds.

Eat early: Avoid late-evening meals and snacking within two to three hours of bedtime.

Try tomatoes slowly: Tomatoes are a known digestive disrupter. Try removing them from your diet and adding them back in slowly to see where your tolerance for them is.

Practice portion control: Eating smaller meals more frequently helps control symptoms, as will eating “lighter” all around—leaner cuts, light versus darker meats, and spongy desserts such as angel food cake.
